Stepping into What Mystical Activism Looks Like

Transformation happens when our learning is infused with intentional processes of becoming.

The new ICN rhythm of Saturday posts has shifted to sharing an article for learning one week, followed the next week by invitations into deeper becoming through spiritual practicing, intentional forms of engaging, and opportunities for integrating into our daily lives.

Our becoming happens personally, communally, and globally as we cultivate transformation through the I, the We, and the All.

Our intention with this new rhythm is to foster an intensification of our mystical practice, deepen our embodied engagement, and support the enactment of life integration for the transformation of ourselves, our neighbors, and the world.

IF YOU MISSED IT LAST WEEK, WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO FIRST READ THE ARTICLE INFORMING THESE PROCESSES: “What Does Mystical Activism Look like?”

We invite you to consciously and intentionally engage in the following processes for your personal lives, WeSpace groups or other spiritual communities, and global participation.

Engaging in the Divine Sphere of Power

Mystical Activism with a New Lord’s Prayer

Asking God in Jesus’ name has nothing to do with ending one’s prayer with the words ‘in the name of Jesus.’ We can say ‘In the name of Jesus’ over and over again, and if it is coming from ordinary consciousness, it is just words that we hope have some magical meaning like ‘abracadabra.’ ‘In the New Testament there are no magically potent names,’ no hocus pocus. Prayer in ‘Jesus’ Name’ means ‘in the sphere of power’ or standing ‘in the sphere of a force.’

Asking in Jesus’ name is about our representing and speaking from Jesus’ mystical consciousness.

In the article last week, Paul wrote how the common version of the “Lord’s Prayer” is more of a “beginning” prayer that contains some of his teaching. However, after Pentecost, Jesus’ followers were ushered into a new way of praying and living from awakened spirit consciousness.

What would a version of the Lord’s Prayer look like from a deeper mystical consciousness? Reflecting not just magnificent ideas about God but moving in the divine sphere of power with the potency to lead us into divine consciousness and mystical activism?

While we have various translations, sometimes we need new words and new forms to release us from the familiar trappings of repetition. Here is a rendering (not a direct translation) of the Lord’s Prayer drawing upon Paul’s teachings from this series and an integral understanding inviting our us into deeper participation:

Our Abba and Amma, who dwells in infinite consciousness,

Your being is holy and whole and all-pervasive, the energy enlivening all that is, the consciousness that gives us breath and awareness.

May we join our consciousness to yours and be governed by your vision of love and abundance.

May we implement it here on earth with you, creating a new groove of harmony and love, abundance and sharing each day, every day.

Grant us self-awareness of our missteps towards you and others.

Lead us forth, moment by moment; lead us from our small self of reactivity or our tribal preconditioned responses; lead us from the temptation of delusion to see ourselves as separate from you and each other.

But rather lead us forth, within and beyond ourselves, seeing our oneness with you and with all that is created, joining in your infinite consciousness and creativity.

From here, may your ever-new joy and ever-renewing love be the rule of our lives and of the whole earth, now and for eternity.

Amen.

Nonlocal Resonating Prayer

Integrating WeSpace into Everyday Life

“Sending Love & Spiritual Energy” by Dalmo Mendonça

Awakened forms of consciousness in an increasing larger collective can potentially influence our entire planet in ways that are far beyond the ordinary consciousness in which most social action, teaching, writing, and communication occurs. Once we begin to experience this space, we see how phrases from Jesus like ‘remain in me’ and ‘in my name’ are all about coming from this deep place.

This is not begging God to do something. This is co-creating with God and one another from a mystical state of awareness with other human and divine presences so that the world may be healed and unified.
— Paul Smith

Have you ever had an experience where someone you know just pops into your awareness? It may even be someone you haven’t seen in a long time, and now suddenly they come to mind. If we don’t know any better, we may just dismiss it and go on about our day. Sometimes it takes another re-minding or two before we recognize this as more than coincidence or random occurrence.

When we choose to act on these knowings, we are presencing the reality of our deeper, nonlocal interconnection. We call the person up and discover something has just happened in their lives, and they need support. Sometimes, they just so happened to be thinking about us as well!

In Mystical Activism informed by nonlocality, we can integrate this mystical way of being into our lives at any time.

In any given moment, perhaps when you have a short commute or find yourself waiting for something, you can simply open your field of awareness to the deeper reality of interconnection and loving entanglement we have with people in our lives, situations on our heart, or areas of concern.

Instead of falling into unconscious worrying, fixing, or planning from ordinary mental consciousness, choose to presence into the divine sphere of power, which encompasses everyone and everything.

Hold the situation or person in loving awareness and divine care. You may wish to consciously send loving energy or healing. Or you might receive spiritual knowing or an action step of response, such as reaching out to them. Respond to this call to action by “moving out” in whatever way is being invited.

These are powerful forms of mystical activism. We are integrating into our lives a way of living that operates from within the Christ “sphere of power” at any and all times—not just when we’re meditating in a group. In ICN, we call this any and every moment engagement Whole-Body Mystical Presencing. In our awakened presence in sphere of force with Jesus, we can transmit spiritual information and loving energy no matter how far apart we are and whether or not we can see the other person or situation!
